The 2013 Missouri Wine Fest Returns!

The 2013 version of the ever-popular Missouri Wine Festival in Excelsior Springs is about to kick off and will be shaking things up in very exciting ways!  The crowds have grown every year and this year will feature some intriguing new changes...

The Missouri Wine Festival is a fundraiser for the Downtown Excelsior Partnership and has become a much anticipated and beloved event for the community.  It remains the premiere celebration of all things Missouri wine and this year is featuring the fruits of 13 wineries who will be sampling more than 60 wines.  Also spotlighted will be over 30 artists and crafters, cooking demos and some mouth-watering edibles from the Elms, Golden Ox, Table for Five and BobKorn.  The setting will still be at the historic Elm Hotel and Spa, but this year will be nestled in picturesque Elms Park across the river.  Live music is always an integral part of this event, and will add the perfect touch to the festival.  Most excitedly, the festival is two days this year; both Friday the 21st and Saturday the 22nd!

The hours for the festival will be Friday from 6 pm to 10 pm and Saturday 10 am to 6 pm.  To purchase tickets, go to www.eswinefest.eventbrite.com.  Advance tickets are 20$ per person for 10 tastings and 25$ at the gate.  If you are a teetotaler and just want to attend, admission is $5.  For a complete list of wineries, musicians, cooking demo classes and more, visit here.
