Plaza Art Fair '09

The weather was warm and welcoming for the 78th Annual Art Fair at the Country Club Plaza in Midtown KC. A long-standing tradition must-see, the event spans the weekend. Artists, sculptors and vendors travel here from all over offering intriguing, eye-popping creations. Around 30 area restaurants set up incredibly elaborate booths serving everything from duck confit to chicken satay. It's always a great event.
We did lunch at McCormick and Schmicks, a Plaza favorite. We started out with Shrimp Remoulade. I used to love this dish at Etchings, my first restaurant job. The shrimp is done in a spicy and creamy Cajun sauce. Keith had fish and chips, which he liked and I had Bananas Foster French Toast. That french toast was drizzled in a caramel rum sauce that I could have bathed in.
