A Weekend For Marlie
Life is moving at such a breakneck pace these days that I'm really having a difficult time keeping up. As many of you know, we just had a big weekend that will require some proper thought to recount. I will catch up soon, but in the meantime, I want to take a moment to promote a benefit event that we will be hosting at the Elms to benefit a very special little girl. Read on for the details:
Join us for a dinner and dance to benefit Marlie Lee. Marlie has a rare lung disease called Bronchiolitis Obliterans Organizing Pneumonia or BOOP for short. Her parents are struggling with medical bills and Dad is in basic training for the Army National Guard. The Elms... has a connection to Marlie through a relative that was hired by the hotel this spring.
Here is what we are doing to raise some money to help Marlie and her family:
Friday May 11th - Dinner and Dance with a New Orleans themed buffet - Creole Pasta Salad, Celery and Pecan Remoulade, Pickled Cucumbers, Corn Muffins, Cajun Fried Catfish, Jambalaya, Pork Smothered Cabbage, Crawfish Maquechoux and Chocolate Bread Pudding and Bourbon Caramel Sauce. Yummy!
Dinner and dance is $35 per person with a portion going to Marlie.
This event is family friendly so kids 12-4 are $25 each and kids 3 and under are FREE
Dave Stephens Band will be performing from 8pm-midnight.
Cash Bar opens at 6pm
Dinner starts at 7pm
Dance starts at 8pm (dance only if space available will cost $15)
