Ventana Breather

It was a long and involved day that was broken up by a relaxing lunch with Keith at Ventana Grill in downtown Excelsior Springs. Lunch was made even sweeter when I found out that they were serving their ever-popular Lobster Bisque. Warm and velvety, it lifted the chill right off the bones. The soup was a precursor to a filling Frisco burger which had swiss cheese and was served on marbled rye. It was a nice breather in a busy day. In the middle of two rehearsals I found myself plating cheesecake for a Mary Kay event. I had half a mind to hijack one of those pink Cadillacs in the parking lot and head for the hills.

Ah, but it's just the calm before the storm. Tomorrow will be a massive day....
