Identity Crisis

At times it will seem as if this blog has an identity crisis. I've outlined the purpose of the blog obviously, as being a food blog. The theme will mainly be food even as it delves into the personal aspects of my life. It will however, veer into pop culture territory here and there. As anyone who knows me can attest, pop culture is also an obsession of mine. As I've mentioned before, I'm a lifelong lover of books. I also have many favorite TV shows. My friend Connie says live music is a "gift from the gods" and I wholeheartedly agree. And the movies....well, I am a dyed-in-the-wool fanatical film freak.

This is why Saturday morning cartoon links, YouTube videos of the Simpsons and other assorted nuggets have popped up here and there. The clip from Salem's Lot had no food connection whatsoever. This will always be a food blog. But pop culture will guest-star throughout....just sayin'.

Good Ol' Don, my BN cohort showed up with one of those ginormous Christmas popcorn tins for everyone today. The popcorn selections were cheddar, caramel and cinnamon which was a first for me. All were divine. It's a sign of the season..from leftover Halloween candy to holiday goodies through to the New Year food will continue to work it's way in...much to the detriment of my waistline.
