Yes, Charlotte, There is a Money Tree

The Barnes and Noble gang held a soiree in honor of our manager Charlotte who not only is getting married but moving to Casper, Wyoming soon. The party was held at everyone's favorite hosting location....Jane Durr's stunning and cozy home. The food was mostly prepared by Joanne Burnside who is pictured by the fireplace. There were wonderful artisal cheeses from Better Cheddar including a soft, sweet caramel-flavored one. Sandwiches ranged from a tasty roast beef with horseradish mayo to a Thanksgiving sandwich with roast turkey and cranberry sauce on a hearty sage and walnut bread. Joanne even polished the grapes! Desserts ranged from June's black and white cookies to Russian tea cookies. The standout was the chocolate and cherry mice created by Joanne's 15-year-old grandson Matthew. Jane even dropped little blocks in glasses of wine that lit up!

Char was quite touched by all of the outpouring of love, I think. We gave her a money tree which she was shocked to discover was actually hers. We got a lot of mileage out of that including suggesting that Jane ALWAYS has a money tree at her parties to fund the festivities.

Char, you're one in a million. We'll miss ya like crazy.
