Mama P and Cake Wrecks

The staff at Barnes and Noble has been in stitches over this hilarious book we've come across called Cake Wrecks with the cover at right. The book is written by Jen Yates and subtitled
" Professional Cakes Gone Horribly Wrong". The cakes she features in this book have to be seen to be believed. My personal favorite is the one that reads: Good Luck, Christ! Can you imagine?

The brownies featured below are anything but a wreck. They are in fact chewy, moist bundles of chocolatey lovin' otherwise known as Sherry Polito's brownies. Sherry is our Community Relations Manager at the store. She is also a feisty Italian Mama who is an absolute force of nature. If someone she loved was in need, this woman would move heaven and earth to help them. Her loving Italian Buddhist motherly ways are evenly matched by a fiery temper that can leave you breathless. Sherry's political rants are legendary. She's also an awesome cook. The staff and B&N have a long, happy history with those marvelous brownies.

Mama P, you are one of a kind. Which is probably best, because I'm not sure we could survive two of you.
